The Fiserv Clearing Network (FCN) is a new solution for check clearing that leverages the combined volumes of thousands of Fiserv outsourcing clients, in-house clients and third party clients who, individually, have small check volumes, but when aggregated represent a significant number of processed checks.  The goal of FCN is to reduce check clearing costs for all clients while preparing them for image exchange.  It is offered as an alternative to clearing checks via a correspondent bank or the Federal Reserve.
